Luton Town have a fine record of identifying good young players and bringing them into the first-team, with many top level footballers starting their careers at the Hatters.

Luton have a handy knack of both developing their own youngsters that they pick up as kids and also bringing in players that other clubs have let go and helping them turn their careers around.

Certainly, it is a happy habit for a club that doesn't have the biggest budget in the Championship and it is something that has helped them with their rise back up the football pyramid in recent years.

There's no sign of the conveyor belt coming to a halt any time soon, either, with more youngsters pushing to get increasingly involved in the first-team.

With that in mind, here are a couple of players to look out for in the near future at the club...

Dion Pereira

Pereira arrived from rivals Watford last year and could certainly be one to watch in the very near future.

He's 22 now and is being urged by those at the club to start staking his claim for first-team football with the talent he has got.

He has been in great form for the u21 side at Luton this season, regularly finding the back of the net, and could well make the step up in the near future.

Jack Chambers

Jack Chambers was another to arrive at the club last year with him joining from West Bromwich Albion.

The attacking midfielder recently scored in the u21s win over AFC Wimbledon and is a bright spark in behind the strikers.

He might not be as close to making a senior appearance as Pereira is but he's a good young player and certainly one to keep an eye out for.
