Luton have had a rather inconsistent start to the season as they look to survive relegation in the Championship.

The Hatters have been very competitive and are sitting in 21st position just one spot outside the relegation zone. It's yet to be seen whether they have enough to stay in the division, but Graeme Jones will not be faulting the effort levels of his players.

Luton have lost their last three games and will be hoping to bounce back when they travel to a rejuvenated Reading side on Saturday.

Here's TWO players that Graeme Jones should look to offload in January...

Danny Hylton

The forward has had his injury problems in recent seasons, but he's not up to the level of the Championship and although he could be a good impact sub, Luton could get some good money for him.

If they manage to sell the forward to a strong League One club, those funds could help try to pick up a replacement that would give them a better chance of staying in the Championship for another season. Make no mistake, Hylton is a brilliant striker and has had some brilliant moments at Luton, but this feels like the right time for him to depart.

George Moncur

He has failed to nail down a spot in the substitutes let alone the first XI, and despite only joining last January he'll know that if he wants to get game time he needs to leave. Jones should think about offloading him and brining in an upgrade to the midfield in order to have more suitable options available to him.

The Hatters clearly don't see him as sufficient for Championship use, and that's a major problem as he becomes a wasted salary for Luton by not even getting in the match day squad. He needs to leave for himself, and it would be doubtful that the club would turn away a sale.
