Reading entertain Leeds United this evening at the Madejski Stadium, with Jose Gomes looking for a third consecutive victory.

Gomes has overseen an upturn in result recently, with Reading entering tonight’s game with wins against Ipswich and Wigan tucked under their belt.

Those two results have boosted Reading’s chance of survival, but tonight they face a tougher task, with Leeds battling for promotion in the Championship.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side play good football and have won four of their last five, with the Whites starting to hit something like the form they were showing during the opening month of the season.

Yet, they do have weaknesses that Reading will be well aware of, with the Royals surely looking to exploit them.

With that in mind, we take a look at two Gomes’ side can exploit this evening…

Overplaying

Whilst Leeds do play some great football, they can be guilty of overplaying.

Bielsa’s side lost 1-0 at QPR not so long ago, with the R’s goal coming from Leeds sloppily giving possession away in their own half.

Tonight, if Reading can force Leeds into these errors, they’ve a great chance.

Leeds’ schedule

Leeds had three games in the space of six days a fortnight ago, whilst tonight is their second away day in the space of four days.

Bielsa’s side were at Bristol City on Saturday, returned to Leeds, then headed down to Reading, which is an awful lot of travelling to do.

There will be some legs left on the coach and Reading could capitalise on that early on.
