Bristol City made it back-to-back victories last time out, with an Andi Weimann goal enough to beat Swansea City and move the Robins into the top-half.

After a slow start to the campaign, the results have given Lee Johnson's men a much-needed boost and once again it was Weimann that made the difference.

The former Derby man scored after just a minute to continue his fine form since arriving this summer, making it five goals from five games.

Yet, as our graphic shows, it wasn't just the goal that Weimann contributed as he produced a hardworking performance, leading from the front for the visitors.

His work rate is never questioned and his defensive quality from the front was evident with his two intereceptions, whilst he also won two aerial duels as he gave the defence no rest.

However, more importantly, he is becoming more decisive in the final third.

Obviously, the goal was crucial but the 27-year-old made two key passes and was good on the ball throughout, as Johnson's men put in a big performance.

Having lost Bobby Reid in June, many were worried about where the goals were going to come from for the Robins, but so far Weimann has stepped up.

He has exceeded expectations with his goal return at this stage and the challenge will be maintaining the high standards he has set.

It's very early days but Weimann is looking like he is one of the best signings of the summer and will be crucial to Bristol City moving forward.
