For Bristol City, the January transfer window was an undeniable success, strengthening throughout their outfield squad.

Josh Brownhill's departure was an undoubted blow, but with Markus Henriksen, Nahki Wells and Filip Benkovic all arriving the good outweighed the bad.

The fans are still waiting to see results, however, and it looks like another season in the second-tier could be on the cards, despite ambitions of promotion.

So, here, we take a look at TWO targets from the winter window that they could move for again in the summer...

QUIZ: Are these 15 ex-Bristol City players still playing – yes or no?

The Bristol Post reported in one of their January transfer Q&As that the Robins were interested in bringing in the Burnley man last month and it is surely one worth revisiting in the summer.

Granted, they brought in Nahki Wells who will most likely prove an excellent acquisition, but with Johnson preferring to play two up front, Vydra should definitely be considerered again.

Having lost Josh Brownhill to Burnley during the winter window, the Robins will need a new long-term option to take over that mantle come the summer.

Sky Sports reported that Johnson was one of many Championship managers eyeing a move for the 23 year-old last month and having netted four times already this season from the centre of midfield, you can see why.

They may well face competition again but with his contract set to expire in the summer, this could be a no brainer for the Robins.
