2 Ipswich Town players who may be eyeing an exit from the club this month

It’s all change yet again at Ipswich Town with a new manager at the helm in Kieran McKenna.

After Paul Cook failed to keep the Tractor Boys challenging for a promotion spot and couldn’t pick up results, he was relieved of his duties and duly replaced by the former Man United coach. The young boss is now in his first managerial job and will be hoping to have the desired impact that he wants at Portman Road.

His appointment has come at a good time though, considering he now has a full transfer window to be able to sort out and organise the current squad to his liking. As part of that process, several players could be shown the exit door to make way for the kind of players that McKenna wants in the team.

Here then, are two players who could be sold on this month.

Quiz: Can you name which club Ipswich Town signed these 20 strikers from?

1. Kayden Jackson

You’d have to think that with the wealth of forwards Ipswich have at the club currently that some could be allowed to leave the club in the winter transfer window.

Including Jackson, they have at least eight striking options currently plying their trade at Portman Road. While several of them are amongst the rotation currently with the Tractor Boys, the 27-year-old is seemingly not one of them. He has only two appearances so far this season in the league and it doesn’t look like he will get a lot more if he stays at Ipswich.

If that is the case, then he should consider moving on to try and get more action elsewhere. He’s been with the side since 2018 and has accumulated well over 100 appearances for the club but with the player spending more time on the sidelines, it is a waste of his talents to not get on the field.

Jackson then could certainly still do a job in League One or League Two and if there are any teams after some extra reinforcements in attack, then they could do a lot worse than the 27-year-old.

2. Myles Kenlock

Kenlock is another player who hasn’t been able to get on the field much for Ipswich recently and, in fact, he hasn’t made a single appearance for the team so far this campaign.

He made a total of 21 appearances for the team during last season but he hasn’t been able to get a minute of action for the team this year and if he can’t get sort that in the future, then he should consider finally moving on from Ipswich this season too.

He’s been at Portman Road even longer than Kayden Jackson and now might be the best time for the player to move on. He’s been a regular in the team since his teenage years but now at the age of 25, he needs to be getting consistent action and if he can elsewhere, then he should leap at the opportunity.

Kenlock is another that could do a solid job at this level if given the chance, so it would be worth someone taking a gamble on him.
