2 Ipswich Town players who could still leave by Friday’s 5pm deadline

It has been a hugely positive start to the season for Ipswich Town, who currently lead the way in Sky Bet League One after the first five games of the campaign.

Paul Lambert’s side have hit the ground running thus far this term, picking up four wins and one draw from their opening five league outings.

Ipswich have been on fire in front of goal having netted 11 goals. They also remain unbeaten in the league, which is largely down to their impressive defensive record having shipped only two goals thus far.

Lambert will now be undoubtedly urging his side to keep on picking up points and maintain their impressive start to the season, ahead of this weekend’s home clash against Accrington Stanley.

The transfer window closes on Friday afternoon, and Lambert may look to strengthen his squad before the 5pm deadline.

Trimming the squad and getting players off the wage bill is also likely to be a priority for the Scotsman, and here, we take a look at two players who could still depart Portman Road before Friday’s deadline…

Armando Dobra

Dobra has recently been linked with a loan move to League Two side Crawley Town, and a departure before Friday appears to be likely.

The 19-year-old is a rising star at Portman Road, and has made 10 appearances for the Tractor Boys since breaking into the first-team.

The Albanian midfielder netted in the 2-0 EFL Trophy win over Gillingham last week, but is yet to feature in League One thus far this term.

A loan move away from Portman Road looks to be the best option for him, and it would be a great opportunity for him to get out and get some regular game time under his belt.

Kayden Jackson

Jackson could well find himself playing in a higher league than League One come Friday afternoon.

The striker has been attracting interest from a host of Championship sides this summer, after a fabulous season in front of goal last term.

The 26-year-old has only played once this season, though, and with AFC Bournemouth potentially selling Josh King to Everton or West Ham, the Cherries could look to move in for Jackson once again.
