With Graham Potter's Swansea side currently sat 11th in the Championship table, there is certainly room for improvement, in what is the club's first season back in the Championship after their relegation last season.

Many of Swansea's fans would have hoped for an immediate return to the Premier League but they have struggled at times in their league campaign this season.

Potter's side face a tough challenge this weekend as they travel to Aston Villa who will be in a confident mood after the appointment of Dean Smith.

The likes of Oliver McBurnie and Connor Roberts have been a key part to the success of Potter's side this season and they will be hoping to continue their good form as the busy Christmas period approaches.

But who should boss Graham Potter be looking to show the exit door to and who should he look to bring into his Swansea squad in January if they are to challenge for a top six finish this season.

Dyer was an important part of the Swansea squad last season, but they were relegated from the Premier League.

Despite making 16 starts in last years league campaign, Dyer has made just one start for the Swans this season which will disappoint the winger.

At the age of 30, he may feel as though more regular game time is available away from Swansea.

King has had a miserable time since joining Swansea. He has only made one appearance for the Swans which was in the FA Cup in 2015.

He has since been out on loan to a number of clubs, most recently a loan spell at Peterborough was cut short due to an injury suffered by the midfielder.

The veteran striker has been limited to just four starts for Nottingham Forest this season, where he has netted twice but he will be be frustrated with his lack of game time.

His lack of game time is largely down to the good form of Lewis Grabban but with Swansea's lack of attacking depth, Oliver McBurnie could benefit from having a striker of Murphy's quality pushing him for a starting spot in the Swansea side.

The Hull midfielder has been a rare bright spark in a poor start to the season for Nigel Adkins' side.

Bowen has started 11 matches this season and has scored on three occasions and assisted once for a Hull side that are currently sat bottom of the Championship table.

The 21-year-old could be tempted with a move to a bigger club to further his career.
