Leeds United have faced a tough run of games since the appointment of new boss Paul Heckingbottom, yet despite credible draws with Bristol City and Derby County, the former Barnsley man is winless in three having succumbed to defeat at Sheffield United in his first game in charge.

The play-offs appear to be shrinking into the distance, although the 40-year-old will refuse to rule his side out of the running with the large part of a third of the season left to play out.

Whatever happens to Leeds United this season Heckingbottom has a huge task on his hands in the summer, when he must evaluate which players fit into his plans for the upcoming campaign.

There will be ins and outs aplenty at Elland Road over the summer window, with one man sure to be on his way, and Heckingbottom surely to consider launching moves for this pair…
