Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has revealed via the club’s personal Twitter account that he has made a decision on three first team players.
McCarthy, during his pre-match press conference, gave an update on the future of out-of-contract trio Luke Chambers, Christophe Berra and Paul Digby.
Ipswich Town will trigger one year extensions for Luke Chambers and Christophe Berra, McCarthy confirmed.
Scotland international Christophe Berra was widely linked with a move north of the border when his contract expired but it appears that the experienced centre half will stay with Ipswich next season.
He will be joined by defender Luke Chambers, who was a target for Nottingham Forest in January.
The 31-year-old is the current captain of Ipswich and he can play as a right back or as a centre half.
However, Ipswich will not be exercising a contract extension for Paul Digby.
The former Barnsley centre half has managed just 6 appearances this season and the 22-year-old will be moved on.
