Hull City have enjoyed a good start to the 2020/21 campaign.

The second-half of last season was woeful and Grant McCann took the Tigers down as they crumbled in the Championship.

McCann has retained his job and Hull have responded.

20 quiz questions about Hull City’s current squad that Tigers fans should be getting correct

They sit second in the League One table and look like a side capable of lasting the distance in the promotion race.

However, it isn’t all positive for the squad at the KCOM Stadium and a couple of those players that were part of last season’s collapse are still kicking around in East Yorkshire.

In the lead up to the January window, we look at a couple of those players that may be pushing for a move…

George Long

The goalkeeper was McCann’s go-to option in the Championship last season, but he conceded an awful lot of goals.

This season, he’s down the pecking order in League One and playing second fiddle.

He’s made an appearance in each of Hull’s cup competitions, but hasn’t featured in the league.

Long may feel that he’s been underused and could push for an exit.

Dan Batty

Batty was another player that played last season in the Championship.

However, like Long, he isn’t the regular he might’ve expected to be in the third-tier.

There’s been only 140 minutes of action in the League One season so far, with Batty yet to complete 90 minutes.

His contract is running down and January might well be the month we see him move on.

It wouldn’t be a complete surprise.
