Huddersfield Town have the chance to finally be back in the Premier League and regardless of whether they succeed in their promotion goal or not, it seems likely that there will be more changes throughout their squad.

The Terriers have gone from a side that many wrote off as potential Championship midtable and even relegation fodder, to a club that are now cutting it with the best in the division.

Their rise has been superb this season and it could pay off at Wembley with a promotion to the top flight.

If there is a jump up on the cards, then a clear out of players deemed not good enough for the Premier League would likely occur. If the side stay in the division, the reshuffling might not be as wide scale, but there is likely to still be some chopping and changing.

Here then, are two players who could face an uncertain few weeks with Huddersfield.

Jordan Rhodes

Even though the striker has been utilised plenty by the Terriers this season - and has scored goals for the side - a promotion into the Premier League would likely see the player potentially let go.

He's only ever taken on the top flight once and that was with Middlesbrough. He managed just six games and no goals though and Carlos Corberan does get his side into the top tier of English football, he might be willing to let Rhodes go to bring in a more experienced forward.

Add in the fact that his former side Boro are also keeping tabs on him - with Chris Wilder likely already putting recruitment plans in place to try and get the side out of the Championship next season - and it means a departure could certainly happen.

Rhodes might have managed six goal contributions in just six starts this year but it wouldn't be surprising to see him on the move again.

Lewis O'Brien

It's a massive name that Huddersfield won't want to lose considering how important he is but there is every chance he could finally leave this summer.

The midfielder has been targeted by a number of Premier League clubs for a while now and he's yet to have the opportunity to test himself in the top flight. If the Terriers manage to bag a promotion in the play-off final, then it would probably give Carlos Corberan the grounds to be able to keep him.

If they lose out to Nottingham Forest though, then it could lead to teams like Leeds, Brighton and others all considering new bids for his services and that could lead to him departing to try his luck in the Premier League.

Whether he stays or leaves the club then could come down to the result at Wembley - and if it doesn't go their way, then they could struggle to keep him.
