One of the bright spots for Birmingham City this season has been the emergence of Jude Bellingham, with the 16-year-old starting the last two games for Pep Clotet's side.

Whilst Blues have had a decent season so far in terms of their points return, they have struggled to perform consistently well.

However, Bellingham has impressed. The teenager is making a big impact right now and he has scored two goals - both of which won games for the team.

Therefore, it's no surprise to see that Liverpool have been linked with a move for the attacking midfielder, with reports claiming that they could even make a move for Bellingham ahead of the January window, although they face competition from a host of elite clubs, including Manchester City and Barcelona.

As our graphic shows, the European champions would be bringing in a player with enormous potential if they could finalise a deal for the Blues academy graduate.

The obvious thing to stand out with Bellingham so far this season is his goals and to score two in the minutes he has had on the pitch is a very respectable return.

Whilst he was very fortunate with one of his strikes as it took a massive deflection, the fact he is getting into positions to get chances proves he is a player with intelligence and he has taken the opportunities that have come his way.

Yet, the aspects of his game that may appeal to Liverpool are his work off the ball.

We all know the clear demands that Jurgen Klopp places on his team and the reality is that you have to be able to work hard and press with real intensity - and the signs are that Bellingham can do just that.

His seven recoveries and six interceptions show a player who knows that despite wanting to operate in the final third, he will have to do a shift defensively if he is to reach the top.

Those numbers are particularly impressive when you consider that he has managed just 213 minutes of football this season - under two-and-a-half games.

That highlights how Bellingham is an energetic, team player and the coaching staff at Anfield will have recognised that, with his ability on the ball undoubted.

So, it's no surprise to the see the youngster is attracting interest from the elite and his all-round game in the opening weeks of the season suggest that the hype around Bellingham is justified.
