Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki has had a pretty impressive start to the Championship campaign.

As well as recently scoring two goals in two UEFA Nations League matches for his native Finland, the 28-year-old’s league form has been impressive.

Pukki has started all six of the Canaries league matches and has scored two goals doing his 537 minutes on the pitch.

His goals came in the 4-3 defeat to West Bromwich Albion and the 2-0 win over Preston North End.

One assist has been registered, that too coming in the narrow defeat to the Baggies in August.

Averaging 2.5 shots per game and with a pass success rate of 82 per cent - and an average of 46.7 passes per fixture - he has been influential with and without the ball.

Having also scored in the League Cup win over Stevenage, Pukki is Norwich’s top scorer this season with three goals in all competitions.

Daniel Farke’s men sit 17th in the division despite the positive form the Finland international has shown, and there will be hope that Pukki can carry on his recent form for his club.

There is always a worry the international break will halt a player's progress, but that should not be the case for the striker who has been able to take his club form into the autumn internationals.

Pukki will be aiming to carry on for his club where he left off with his country this past week when the Championship season resumes.

The visit of Middlesbrough to Carrow Road will be a tough test for the 28-year-old who will be aiming to get on the scoresheet once more.
