Mark Warburton is desperate to string some wins together following Queens Park Rangers' latest loss away at Huddersfield Town.

The R's have secured back-to-back wins in the league just once this season, and the 2-0 defeat to the Terries this weekend made it three losses on the bounce.

The loss of Ebere Eze to Crystal Palace was inevitable and it has left a bit of a creative void in QPR's attack, but at least a quarter of the £20 million fee received for Eze was re-invested back into the squad this summer.

For some reason though it just hasn't clicked yet, and Warburton is desperate for some reinforcements.

He could wait until the January transfer window opens in a months time, but there's also some top free agents out there ready to be snapped up after time out of the game.

Lets look at two freebies that QPR could potentially bring in that would no doubt strengthen their team.

Ashley Williams

Once a very good Premier League centre back, Williams was plying his trade at Bristol City last season, making 32 league appearances for the Robins.

He's now 36 years old but considering he played most of last season at a good level, Williams could surely slot into a struggling Championship defence and shore it up.

The R's have kept just three clean sheets this season and a bit more experience is perhaps what the highly-rated Rob Dickie needs besides him - as his regular partner Yoann Barbet is prone to the odd mistake.

Jackson Irvine

With the loss of Luke Amos for the season due to a knee injury, Warburton could do with strengthening his engine room.

Simply put, Irvine should not still be without a club. He's a talented box-to-box midfielder who's spent four full seasons at this level with Burton Albion and Hull City, scoring 21 goals in the process.

Many Championship clubs should be in for him and he would offer more of a goalscoring threat compared to the defensive-minded Geoff Cameron and Dominic Ball, and also to Tom Carroll who is more of a creator.
