Queens Park Rangers have some fine young players in their squad.

The likes of Ebere Eze, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Ilias Chair and Ryan Manning have all had breakthrough seasons under Mark Warburton.

The ex-Brentford man has produced one of the league's most exciting and youthful sides, and they've many more talents who could break into the first-team in the near future.

Here we take a look at two emerging QPR talents that could save the club millions in the future:

Ben Wells

The ex-West Ham academy man joined QPR in July 2018. He's since worked his way through both the U18 and the U23 side and today finds himself on-loan at Concord Rangers.

Wells turns 20 before the end of the month, and he'll next season be looking to break into the first-team. With Concord he's made a host of appearances in the National League South and has impressed in doing so.

He's best fielded in defence but can also be deployed just in-front of the defence, and towards the end of last year he extended his stay until the end of this season.

His QPR future will very much be determined by his performances for Concord - Les Ferdinand and co will happily offer their younger players new deals and extensions if they've earned them.

The first-team might be a step too far for Wells next season, but he's definitely making steps in the right direction, and could one day be a regular in the QPR team.

Stephen Duke-McKenna

The ex-Everton and Bolton prospect linked up with QPR in August 2019. He's been extending his stay in short-term deals since and looks to be nearing a longer-term contract in West London, having impressed for the development side this season.

The midfielder has made a host of appearances and chipped in with some goals too. QPR seem to work their younger players in the development side before seeking loan deals for them, and Duke-McKenna could well get a short, emergency loan-deal before the season's out.

He's a fine player, and is even a full international for Guyana - he's featured in the CONCACAF Nation's League this season, and the Gold Cup last year as well - he was even named on the bench for Everton in the Europa League a few years ago.

Whether he'll be in first-team contention next season is unknown, but like Wells, Duke-McKenna is making good strides towards Warburton's selection plans, and could one day become a hugely important player for the club.

QPR have become more of a selling club of late and with it looking likely that some of the club's best young stars will depart for big money in the summer, it'll only push the likes of Wells and Duke-McKenna closer to the starting line-up.
