Brentford have developed an excellent reputation for recruiting bright young talents to develop at the club before offloading them for a significant transfer fee.

The Bees have achieved huge success using this strategy on players such as Chris Mepham, Neal Maupay and Ezri Konsa in recent years, while the likes of current stars Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma now seem destined for a similar fate given their form.

Brentford also operate a highly effective B-team system instead of the typical academy set-up, with the existence of Brentford B helping to facilitate a clear pathway to the first team for the club's best emerging talents.

The Griffin Park outfit have enjoyed a successful campaign to date which puts them firmly in contention for the play-offs heading into the final run-in, and Thomas Frank has also managed to blood a number of younger players into his squad this term.

Here, we take a look at two emerging Brentford talents who could massively benefit the club in the future...

Jan Zamburek

Zamburek was signed by Brentford in the summer of 2018 with a view to him developing within the club's B-team set-up, but the midfielder's excellent progress has meant he is now firmly involved in the first-team fold at Griffin Park.

The 19-year-old has made 11 league appearances for the Bees this campaign - including a start against Blackburn in November - while he also started both of Brentford's FA Cup clashes with Stoke and Premier League side Leicester in January.

The fact Zamburek was signed by the club on a free transfer means Brentford will profit from whatever fee he eventually moves on for, and the Czech's impressive first-team displays suggest he could be destined for the top flight in not-too-distant future.

Mads Roerslev

Roerslev arrived in Griffin Park over the summer after making the switch from Danish side FC Copenhagen, and his stand-out performances within the B team have seen him force his way into Frank's plans as the Championship season reaches its climax.

The 20-year-old's outing against Luton meant he has now made three starts in the Championship since his league debut in November, and the right-back's displays suggest he could go on to become a big player for the Bees in the near future.

It will be a challenge for Roerslev to earn regular first-team football when he is competing with the impressive Henrik Dalsgaard for a spot, but the Roerslev's impact suggests he could become a prized asset at the club if he continues along the same trajectory.
