Derby County have a strong youth academy and have produced some of the best talents in English history.
With Frank Lampard at the helm now, there is a certainty that the ex-Chelsea and England star will look to nurture young talents into his first team.
Jayden Bogle is a perfect example of this - he has been one of Derby’s standout performers this term.
There are many more behind Bogle set to make a really claim to be selected in the first-team in recent months and seasons.
Here, we look at two of their gems that have shown promise and could push for a first-team spot in the not too distant future.
Do you agree, or have you spotted a better talent ready to make the big step up to the first-team? Let us know in the comments section below.
Max Bird
Max Bird is one of the most highly rated stars in Derby’s youth setup, having made a couple of first-team appearances.
At just 18, the midfielder is ahead of his years in terms of development and certainly a player Lampard will be keeping an eye on.
Luke Thomas
Luke Thomas has spent a big proportion of his Derby career on loan - currently at League One outfit Coventry City, where he is playing regularly.
The midfielder will hope he can catch the eye of Frank Lampard and hopefully achieve a first-team call up next season.
