Derby County will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Championship tonight when they face Cardiff City.

The Rams recently lost ground in the battle for survival to Reading as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Millwall at Pride Park.

Derby would have been determined to deliver a response to this setback in their meeting with Luton Town on Saturday.

However, a goal from Hatters forward Danny Hylton sealed victory for Nathan Jones' side in this fixture.

Currently eight points adrift of safety in the Championship, Derby simply have to pick up their performance levels in their upcoming fixtures if they are to have any chance of avoiding relegation in May.

Having witnessed his side's display against Luton, it will be interesting to see whether Rams boss Wayne Rooney opts to make any changes to his team this evening.

Here, we have decided to take a look at TWO selection dilemmas that Rooney is facing ahead of this fixture...

Should Festy Ebosele be brought back into Derby's starting eleven?

Festy Ebosele has produced a number of encouraging performances for Derby this season and thus it wouldn't be at all surprising if Rooney is considering turning to the teenager for inspiration this evening.

Utilised as a substitute during the club's clash with Luton last weekend, Ebosele will be determined to make a difference for the Rams at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Deployed in several different positions by Rooney in recent months, the Derby academy graduate has managed to provide three direct goal contributions in the second-tier.

By adding to this aforementioned total this evening, Ebosele could potentially help the Rams close the gap to Reading.

Will Louie Sibley be handed the chance to impress?

Another individual who will be keen to provide a spark for Derby tonight is Louie Sibley who has experienced a difficult term to date.

The midfielder has only managed to show glimpses of his talent in the Championship as he has been utilised as a substitute on a regular basis by Rooney.

Having netted his first goal of the season in Derby's victory over Peterborough United last month, Sibley may be able to use the confidence gained from this particular strike to push on during the remainder of the campaign.

If Rooney decides to give Sibley the chance to impress this evening, the 20-year-old will know that a failure to step up the mark is likely to result in his game-time being limited by his manager.
