Derby County are set for an interesting few weeks ahead, after the club confirmed that they had parted company with Phillip Cocu.

The Rams had endured a disappointing season so far under the Dutchman's management, as they currently sit bottom of the Championship table after their opening 11 matches of the 2020/21 campaign.

With the international break upon us, the club will be keen to get this next appointment right, with The Telegraph's John Percy revealing that Wayne Rooney is one of the frontrunners to take charge at Pride Park.

Positive results need to come quickly though, otherwise Derby could find themselves in a serious relegation battle, which would have been almost unthinkable heading into this year's campaign.

The January transfer window could be one to keep an eye on as well, as some players had previously been struggling for consistent game time under Cocu's management.

We take a look at TWO Derby County players who might be eyeing a move away from the club in the January transfer window.

Find out who they are, below....

Jack Stretton

The young Derby County forward is yet to make a first-team appearance this season, but has caught the eye with a number of impressive performances for the Under-23s side.

Stretton has scored eight goals in eight appearances so far this season, including a hat-trick in a 3-2 win over West Ham United earlier this month.

At the age of 18, he could certainly benefit from heading out on loan to further his development in senior football, and you would imagine that he'd have plenty of potential suitors after his strong run of form in front of goal.

Jahmal Hector Ingram

Ingram has made two first-team appearances for Derby this season, both of which have come from the substitutes bench.

The youngster is highly unlikely to feature regularly for the Rams this season though, and will surely be tempted by a move elsewhere to further his development in senior football.

If he can make a positive impact out on loan for the remainder of the season, then we could well see him challenging for a spot in the Derby first-team in future seasons.
