After a largely unconvincing performance against high-flying Fulham in midweek, Luton Town boss Graeme Jones will no doubt be looking to see a vast improvement in performance levels from his charges as they head to St Andrew's to take on Birmingham City this weekend.

The 3-2 loss to the Whites may have suggested to many that the Hatters were unlucky to lose at Craven Cottage, however this can't be any further from the truth, as the Cottagers dominated against their opponents for large periods of the game, and perhaps Scott Parker's side should have scored more than three.

Luton are now set to face a Birmingham City side who have won just two of their last five games, thus suggesting that it provides the perfect opportunity for the Hatters to get right back on track with another three points.

With the match potentially proving to be a hard fought contest between two sides who have struggled for a consistent run of form, we have picked out TWO decisions that Town boss Jones has to make before facing the Blues tomorrow...

Formation change

One particular change that will surely be on the mind of the Luton Town gaffer is a potential formation change, with the Hatters having been so open at the back during their game against Fulham, with Jones having deployed a 4-3-3 system, which frankly failed to work for the Hatters.

A solution that could be in the offing is to revert back to the 4-1-2-1-2 formation which served the Hatters so well as they ran out 3-0 winners against Bristol City last weekend, it wouldn't be a surprise if the Town boss does indeed make this tactical adjustment for the game at St Andrew's.

Bring LuaLua into the starting XI

One other change that Jones could well make is bringing in Kazenga LuaLua into the starting eleven, with the 28-year-old former Brighton and Hove Albion winger having performed well in recent weeks for the Hatters when called upon, largely from the bench.

Obviously bringing LuaLua in to start all depends on the formation that Jones opts for against Birmingham, so should he stick with the 4-3-3 system, it would be a no brainer to bring in the experienced wide man after he scored his first goal for the club against Fulham in the midweek defeat.
