The promotion push continues for Aston Villa at the moment with just a handful of games left in the Championship.

The men from Villa Park are well in the mix for the top two, too, but they know that they need both Fulham and Cardiff to fall apart at these final hurdles.

Whether that happens or not, remains to be seen, but there can be no doubt that Villa will at least get a chance at promotion - even if that is through the play-offs.

Whilst we wait to see how it pans out, meanwhile, we've been thinking about the players at the club that, regardless of league next year, might already be off.

Here are two players who may never where the claret and blue of Villa again...

Gabby Agbonlahor's career at the club is over and many are just counting the days until he leaves for good.

The striker started in such fine manner in his younger years at Villa but as things have gone on he's fallen out of favour and fitness and down the pecking order.

He's on his way this summer and there's every chance Steve Bruce won't bother giving him a few final minutes with plenty at stake right now.

Ross McCormack is another attacker that will surely be leaving Villa in the summer.

He's done well at other clubs in the Championship but things at the West Midlands club have gradually soured and you have to say they are beyond repair almost.

The forward will surely find a new club - possibly in this league - and he might just end up finding the form that makes him such a threat in the second tier.
