Charlton Athletic are currently going through a period of transition following the sacking of Nigel Adkins at the Valley.

With Johnnie Jackson at the helm as interim manager, the Addicks have seen an upturn in their results and are now seeking to climb the Sky Bet League One table.

The players are playing with a renewed sense of confidence and as a result they are picking up the wins that many people will have come to expect from a Charlton side at this level of the Football League.

In and amongst what is a largely experienced and older squad, the Addicks certainly boast a host of promising young players that they have at their disposal.

Quiz: Have Charlton Athletic ever won an away game at each of these 20 stadiums?

Here, we take you through TWO Charlton Athletic youngsters who look set for a very bright future in the game…

Albie Morgan

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has been on the books of the Addicks for quite some time now but is only now beginning to cement his reputation as one of the ones to watch.

His low centre of gravity allows him to drift past players with ease, whilst he also has a great eye for a pass.

What is perhaps most impressive is his ability to pick up pockets of space between the lines, as this gives Charlton more of an outlet in the final third when they are on the attack.

Still under contract until the summer of 2023, Morgan will be looking top improve his consistency moving forward in order to ensure he starts every week.

Josh Davison

Another player who has slowly risen through the ranks at the Valley in order to get his chance in the first team, Davison is a striker who has gradually improved his all round game.

The 22-year-old was previously loaned out to the likes of Woking and Forest Green Rovers in order to give him more first team exposure and so far this term it seems to have done the trick.

Davison already has five goals to his name this season across all competitions and is providing a good level of back up to the likes of Jayden Stockley and Conor Washington.

If he continues to impress, he could easily become a regular in the first team for years to come.
