It's been a difficult season for Charlton Athletic.

After suffering relegation from the Championship last term the hope was that the Addicks would be able to hit the ground running and secure automatic promotion back to the second tier.

Unfortunately that hasn't quite happened.

Uncertainty off the pitch has seemingly impact results on it with Charlton currently one of several clubs in the chasing pack to secure a spot in the League One play-offs.

While reaching the top six is far from out of the question, plenty of players will be waiting to see what division the club are in before committing their future to the South London side for another season.

Here are two players who may be looking for a move away this summer.

Jake Forster-Caskey

The midfielder has certainly enjoyed a good season for the Addicks.

Forster-Caskey has had his injury woes since arriving at the Valley in 2017 but has certainly showed his quality in the middle of the park this season.

With his contract due to expire at the end of the season the 26-year-old may well be holding out for a potential move to the Championship as he assesses his options come the end of the season.

Chuks Aneke

A player who is bound to be attracting interest from higher up the pyramid.

The former Arsenal youngster signed a two-year deal with Charlton in the summer of 2019 and has really impressed this term after scoring 13 goals in all competitions so far this term.

With a contract that expires in the summer it'll be interesting to see if the 27-year-old is offered another chance to prove himself in the Championship.
