Charlton Athletic travel to Shropshire on Saturday hoping they can get back to winning ways after squandering points against Morecambe in midweek.

Diallang Jaiyesimi and Conor Washington's strikes had the Addicks two goals to the good inside half an hour before the Shrimpers mobilised and earned an impressive 2-2 draw. Johnnie Jackson's men can extend their unbeaten run to seven games under the caretaker manager at Shrewsbury Town and go some way to bridging the gap between them and the play-off places.

There is a lot of competition for places at Charlton at the moment, particularly in attacking areas and that will give Jackson a couple of selection headaches ahead of this afternoon's fixture. The return date of Adam Matthews and Jason Pearce's injuries remains unclear but it looks likely that Birmingham City loanee Jonathan Leko will at least feature in the matchday squad.

Here, we have taken a look at two dilemmas facing Johnnie Jackson ahead of their trip to Shrewsbury Town...

Squad rotation

A lot was made of the fatigue amongst the squad after getting pegged back in midweek. The likes of Elliot Lee, Conor Washington and Diallang Jaiyesimi have played considerably more under Jackson than they did under Adkins and that is beginning to take its toll. Jaiyesimi looks the most in need of a rest and has not completed a match since the third outing of the season.

With Leko and Corey Blackett-Taylor waiting in the wings, that seems like the most likely alteration from the side that started at the Mazuma Stadium on Tuesday.

Jonathan Leko is a very talented player for League One level capable of making the difference against any opposition, Jackson will be tempted to throw him straight in now recovered from a groin injury. The 22-year-old could play at right wing back or in the front two but it is crucial that he is not pushed physically too quickly.

Leko or Mason Burstow are options to replace one of Josh Davison and Conor Washington in the front two as Jackson looks for an extra spark in the attacking third. Anything but three points would be seen as a disappointing result for the Addicks.
