The weekend kicks off with a huge derby in the Midlands, with promotion hopefuls West Brom travelling the short distance to St Andrew's to face Birmingham City.

The Baggies are in 9th place in the league having had a decent, if inconsistent start to life in the Championship. They've recorded fine wins, not least against QPR (7-1), but have dropped points to Middlesbrough and more surprisingly, Bolton Wanderers.

Then there was the crazy 4-3 win at Carrow Road, a game they might easily have lost. They started that game in a 4-4-1-1 formation, but have gone more defensive in recent matches to try and shut up shop at the back.

That isn't to say they're struggling though, far from it. They have a wonderful collection of attacking players and offer a real threat from both flanks and through the middle. As they get more games under their belts as a unit, they'll only get better.

That must be a frightening prospect for the rest of the division. Matt Phillips, Harvey Barnes, Jay Rodriguez, and Dwight Gayle are all wonderful players with creativity and threat running through their core.

Birmingham have a huge task stopping Darren Moore's men from grabbing all three points, but perhaps Moore could switch his side around a little to offer the maximum threat?

Here are two changes he could make to his West Brom side this week against the Blues.

In operating a 3-4-1-2 at home against Stoke, West Brom perhaps restricted themselves a little by having a heavy emphasis on defence, leaving two in defensive midfield with Harvey Barnes playing a role behind a front two of Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez.

Matt Phillips didn't hit the heights expected on the right flank that day, so perhaps Oliver Burke deserves his chance?

He was an unused sub and has just three outings to his name, two in the cup. He's right sided and might be an effective Phillips replacement, just for the one match where extra bodies in attack will prove useful

Is the pairing of Livermore and Brunt too defensive, especially against a side such as Birmingham who offer such little going forward?

Chris Brunt could be dropped and a high-energy youngster such as Sam Field brought into the fold.

Field is a product of the youth team who is emerging from the WBA U23 side, but as a lifelong Baggie himself and as a player capped at England U20 level, he deserves a chance.

When better than against a side struggling for goals, such as Birmingham City?
