Birmingham City will be looking to build on their 1-1 draw at home to West Brom on Friday night with an away trip to Sheffield United on Wednesday night.

Garry Monk's men could have been 2-0 up within two minutes if Jota had converted his penalty, just 60 seconds after opening the scoring for Blues, who were left to rue missed chances.

Monk will be wondering how often he can ask the same players to dip into their energy resources this week with two trips to Yorkshire in four days.

The first of those comes on Wednesday night as Blues take on high-flying Sheffield United, before travelling to unbeaten Leeds United on Saturday afternoon; both are huge tests for Monk's men.

Options are limited, with very little proven Championship experience to come into the side, so any ‘freshening up’ comes with a risk for City.

Here, we take a look at two changes Monk could make to his side to face the Blades on Wednesday night.

Camp has come under criticism by a majorty of the St. Andrews faithful in recent weeks, and this could mean that it is time for Connal Trueman to once again step up into the first team.

Whilst Camp may be experienced and seems to communicate well with the rest of the back four, he has so far made only the routine save this season, which could open the door for Trueman.

The 22-year old offers outstanding shot-stopping abilities, and despite looking uncertain when Middlesbrough pumped balls into his area earlier on in the season, he may feel more confident on Wednesday evening.

Whilst Gary Gardner and Maikel Kieftenbeld won most their individual battles against West Brom on Friday night, for fitness reasons Monk may look to swap one of them out for Craig Gardner.

The tenacious midfielder has recently made an impact off the bench for Blues, however could look to start at Bramall Lane due to fitness reasons.
