Nottingham Forest travel to Huddersfield on Saturday looking to recover form a four-match winless run, which has seen the Reds drop out of the Championship play-off places.

Forest suffered their biggest defeat of the season so far last weekend, losing 4-0 against Sheffield Wednesday at the City Ground, in a game which saw the Reds looking unusually vulnerable defensively, whilst also struggling to find enough end product in the final third having just three shots on target.

Sabri Lamouchi will be looking for a reaction from his players ahead of their trip to Huddersfield, where the Reds will be looking to extend their unbeaten run on their travels to five Championship matches – and the Frenchman will be considering a few tweaks to his starting line-up to help his side get back to winning ways.

Here then, we take a look at TWO changes that Lamouchi could sanction for the trip to Huddersfield…

Bringing Joe Lolley back into the side

Lamouchi made a bold decision to drop Lolley to the bench for Forest’s meeting with Sheffield Wednesday last weekend, with the winger struggling to find his best form during the last few months, and without a goal since he scored the equaliser in the Reds’ 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers back at the start of October.

The Frenchman elected to move Sammy Ameobi out to the right-hand side of the Forest’s attack, with Joao Carvalho starting from the left, but both players struggled to really make an impact on the match, as Sheffield Wednesday took control of the game and had the three points secured by half time.

Lolley could therefore be given another chance to come back into the side against Huddersfield, and he will have a point to prove now having failed to find the sort of form he showed for the Reds last season, while he will also be keen to make an impression at the home of his former club.

Bringing Figueiredo back into the side

Nottingham Forest have found themselves looking vulnerable at the back for the first time really this season over the last few weeks, having shipped eight goals in their last four Championship fixtures, after conceding just once in the four games prior to their recent winless run.

A partnership of Joe Worrall and Tobias Figueiredo at the heart of the Reds’ defence managed to keep three successive clean sheets in wins against Derby County and Queens Park Rangers, as well as a shut out in the goalless draw at Bristol City, but Lamouchi decided to bring Michael Dawson back into the side following Forest’s 1-0 defeat at home to Cardiff City.

The Frenchman tried the defenders in a back three for the trip to Millwall, but the Reds struggled with that shape and Lamouchi brought Figueiredo off just before the hour mark, with the defender left out of the following two matches, but after conceding four last weekend he should be in contention to make a return to the side alongside Worrall.
