Reading take on Preston this Saturday, in what will be Mark Bowen's first game in charge of the Berkshire outfit.

The Royals have lost five of their last six Championship games and will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways against a very strong Preston side who sit third heading into the game at the Madejski Stadium.

Reading sacked manager Jose Gomes after their last fixture, so there's expected to be quite a few changes ahead of the game with Alex Neil's Preston side.

Here's how we expect Reading to lineup on Saturday afternoon...

The first key changes that we expect to see in the Reading lineup comes in the formation. The Royals have played five at the back for the majority of the season, but Bowen is likely to mix it up - especially with Michael Morrison a doubt with a stomach bug.

Under-performing Liam Moore is likely to partner Matt Miazga in the centre of the defence, with Andy Yiadom and Omar Richards providing the support as full-backs.

The two sitting in front of the defence are academy product Andy Rinomhota and highly-rated loan signing Pele who joined for the season from French side Monaco in the summer.

The first change to personnel comes in the attacking positions, with the formation changing to 4-2-2-2. John Swift is expected to come back into the team following his suspension after being sent-off against Fulham.

Swift will replace centre-back Morrison who drops out as the Royals look for another man in the midfield. Arguably the Royals' star performer, Ovie Ejaria, will start alongside Swift as they look to create chances for the two at the top.

The key decision that Bowen will face is who he starts up front. Obviously, Yakou Meite was away in Africa over the break, and a rest may be needed which is why a surprise may be in the offing at the top end of the pitch.

Sam Baldock, who is yet to start this season, could come in to the side after scoring twice against Arsenal in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

He'd partner Romanian George Puscas who is looking to get back on the goal trail after a number of missed opportunities.
