Charlton Athletic have picked up some important results over the last few weeks, but have still suffered with inconsistency throughout.

Last week, the Addicks beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the City Ground but couldn't back up the victory and fell to a rather stale 2-0 defeat at home to Blackburn Rovers.

On Saturday, Lee Bowyer has a massive game against fellow Championship strugglers Luton Town. If the Hatters come out victorious they would be just three points behind Bowyer's side.

Here's the likely Charlton XI Bowyer is set to field against Luton...

Charlton are set to keep their five at the back formation for the home game against Luton on Saturday. They'll be aiming to provide more of a threat in front of goal after the defeat to Blackburn last weekend.

The back three will consist of Naby Sarr, Tom Lockyer and Jason Pearce. The trio have been impressive at times at the Valley this season and Sarr showed his qualities with an excellent assist in the recent victory over Forest.

The centre-halves will be supported by two wing-backs. They'll consist of Alfie Doughty and Adam Matthews who will look to use the width to help in both defensive and attacking areas of the pitch.

In the midfield, one change could come with Deji Oshilaja replacing new signing Aiden McGeady. The Irishman didn't have his best game last weekend, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Bowyer try and make the side more solid in the midfield. Oshilaja will be next to the influential Josh Cullen and hard-hitter David Davis.

Up top, and this is where the crucial change could come for the Addicks. Tomer Hemed could be replaced by Macauley Bonne, the striker is making his return from injury and could provide a massive boost to Charlton in terms of their goalscoring output. He'll partner the already influential Lyle Taylor.

It's going to be a massive game on Saturday, and a win for either side could have a big effect on the final stage of their season.
