Sheffield United sealed an absolutely crucial win over Bolton Wanderers this weekend to extend their lead at the top of the League One table.

The Blades are looking strong in their quest for promotion, and anything other than a catastrophe now should see them seal a return to the Championship.

However, Wilder and many Blades fans will be aware they will need to add to their squad if they are to compete in a higher league, and players of Championship quality will no doubt need to be brought in.

Wilder will no doubt have his eye on a few players already, and he will be drafting out plans with his board about what his summer plans will be.

With this in mind, FLW writer Lee Connor has taken a look at TWO Championship players Sheffield United should be eyeing up ahead of the summer window...

Danny Ward

With the Blades set to trade places with their Yorkshire rivals Rotherham in terms of leagues, they might want to opt for a move for star striker Danny Ward.

Ward will no doubt be a man in demand, but the Blades can expect to be backed by their owners, and a signing like this is not out of the question.

United will need more firepower to supplement that of Billy Sharp, and Ward could be the perfect signing if he fancied the move.

Tyler Denton

The Leeds United youngster is an excellent prospect and the Blades will need to strengthen their defence if they do go up.

Denton is not getting much of a look in at Elland Road, and with Leeds challenging at the top end of the Championship, there is scope for a move for Denton at the end of the season.

Sheffield United would be an excellent match, and he is a player Chris Wilder should well have his eye on.
