Nottingham Forest are having a miserable season this term, and their loyal fans have been put through the mire once again by poor performances both on and off the field.

The sacking of Philippe Montanier has left Forest with Gary Brazil in caretaker charge, while the sale of valuable assets such as Oli Burke and Henri Lansbury has not gone down too well at the City Ground.

However, fans will as always try and remain positive, and with one on the summer transfer window, they will already be assessing what sort of players the club should be looking to bring in.

Championship survival is not assured yet, but Forest should have enough to stay up.

With this in mind, here are TWO Championship players Nottingham Forest could eye up to sign in the summer...

Jason Lowe

With Blackburn looking more or less certain to be in League One next term, the time could be right to strike for a few of their better players.

Jason Lowe is one of those, and he would fit in nicely at Forest.

His versatility makes him a useful asset for any club, and at 26, he will be coming into the prime years of his career over the next couple of seasons.

Jackson Irvine

One of the star finds of the season so far, Jackson Irvine has been tremendous for Burton Albion in their fight against the drop.

Irvine can get forward from midfield and score goals, which is something Forest desperately need following the sale of Lansbury.

The midfielder would be an ideal signing, and would not have far to move either should he decide on a move to the City Ground.
