West Bromwich Albion will be hoping the Championship season can resume, with Slaven Bilic’s side looking to secure a return to the Premier League in the remaining nine games.

The outbreak of coronavirus has put the season on hold and the Baggies are now willingly listening to any EFL updates that might give them an indication of when their promotion push can continue.

Yet, the forced break allows us to take a look at one of West Brom’s loan stars, Callum Robinson.

Robinson joined the club on loan from Sheffield United in January, with the aim of helping Bilic achieve the club’s overall aim of promotion.

Here, we take a look at Robinson, listing TWO facts you might not have known about the Irishman…

England honours

Despite earning himself 12 caps for the Republic of Ireland, Robinson’s international career could’ve taken a very different direction, with the forward representing England from under-16 level right through to the under-20s.

31 caps were made between 2011 and 2015, before Robinson opted the way of Ireland.

In his 12 caps, he’s scored one goal, which came in a 3-1 victory over New Zealand.

Aston Villa spell

Robinson really made a name for himself during his spell at Preston, with his form for the Lilywhites helping him get a move back into the Premier League with Sheffield United.

Yet, that wasn’t his first Premier League spell, with Robinson debuting in the top-fight for Aston Villa back in 2014.

He only managed four Villa appearances, which might mean his spell at Villa Park slips some people.
