Bristol City will be hoping to be back to their best when they welcome top-of-the-league West Bromwich Albion to Ashton Gate on Saturday.

The Robins produced a lacklustre and forgettable performance in last weekend's defeat to Leeds United, though that is often the effect that the Whites have on teams.

Lee Johnson's men have not found Ashton Gate a particularly happy hunting ground this season, only taking 25 points from their 16 games, while the Baggies have the best away record in the division.

You feel City are going to have to produce a top-quality performance to get a result against Slaven Bilic's side and get their play-off push back on track.

With that in mind, Johnson may look make a few tactical tweaks against the Baggies on Saturday.

Here's two that he will surely consider...

Bringing Jack Hunt in at right-back

Johnson brought in Tomas Kalas on the right-hand side of his back four at Elland Road, as he looked to add some more strength and aerial prowess to the side.

It didn't work. The Robins looked unbalanced and struggled for much fluidity going forward.

City's full-backs have been vital to their play all season and Johnson likes them to bomb down the flank and get involved in the final third.

Hunt has done that well this season and you'd imagine that after last weekend's performance, Johnson will be looking to bring him back into the starting XI and return some balance to the side.

Dropping Han-Noah Massengo

The teenager started in central midfield against Leeds and struggled throughout.

Massengo is a hugely talented young player and a very exciting prospect but his weaknesses have been all to clear in recent weeks.

His athletic ability, energy, and ball skills are excellent but he really struggles when asked to dictate play.

Against both Birmingham City and Leeds, the Frenchman had the tendency to dwell on the ball too long, often meaning an attacking opportunity was wasted or possession was given away.

Korey Smith missed out due to injury against the Whites, so he will likely return if fit, but Johnson could also turn to Adam Nagy.

They need someone in central midfield that is going to give them more control and help them take advantage of opportunities to break.
