After Sky Bet Championship promotion favourites suffered a rollercoaster ride in their 3-3 draw against Brentford, Chris Hughton will be hoping his side can pick up a win after a difficult week.

A disappointing week began when they were dismantled by a very impressive looking Huddersfield Town side.

It seemed to be going the same way after Brentford went 2-0 up and subsequently missed a penalty.

However, the steely nature of Brighton which has served them so well all season helped as they fought back to 2-2 after two goals in three minutes.

Brentford re-took the lead before a last gasp equaliser from Tomer Hemed spared the blushes of Chris Hughton and his Brighton side.

With questions being asked about Brighton's form and if they could be dragged back into the play-off places rather than an automatic promotion, it proved to be an important point earned.

Chris Hughton will be hoping the home game against Burton Albion will be a lot less eventful with Brighton re-finding their form and a means of returning to winning ways.

FLW writer Elliott Wheat-Bowen has identified TWO players that Brighton must drop for their game against Burton Albion.

Jiri Skalak

The Czech Republic international winger has been a mainstay for Brighton this season.

However, after being omitted from the side against Huddersfield, Skalak was unable to make an impression after returning to the starting line-up.

Jiri Skalak's uninspiring performance against Brentford saw Hughton make the difficult decision to substitute the 24-year-old winger at half time.

The arrival and injection of enthusiasm that Solly March brought to the game was the springboard for Brighton's remarkable second half comeback against Brentford.

March's goal was the crucial breakthrough Brighton needed to get back in the game and to have the momentum needed to push forward for an equaliser.

As March has now proved that he has the durability and match fitness to return after a sustained period sidelined, Hughton may now opt to drop Skalak to give Solly March the start that he has earned and deserves.

Steve Sidwell

After steadying the tide against Huddersfield Town in the second half, the veteran midfielder showed his reliability and steeliness when playing alongside Oliver Norwood.

Chris Hughton made the decision to play the same pair against Brentford and in the first half, there were signs that the midfield was being overwhelmed once again.

With the news emerging that Dale Stephens is a possibility to return for the Burton Albion match, it is almost inevitable that he will return to the starting line-up.

The midfield talisman has been missing in all four of Brighton's defeats this season and it could've been five if it wasn't for Hemed's late equaliser on Sunday.

As a combative midfielder, Dale Stephens is more suited to the two man midfield and Chris Hughton may opt to pair him up with Oliver Norwood who can provide the creativity from midfield.

If Stephens is fit, it would come as no surprise to see Chris Hughton bring him immediately back into the fold as Brighton looks to recover from what seems to be a minor blip.
