AFC Bournemouth will be looking to get off to a winning start in the 2021/22 Championship season, when they take on West Brom on Friday 6th August.

The Cherries narrowly missed out on promotion into the Premier League last term, as they were beaten by Brentford in their play-off semi-final.

They're now managed by Scott Parker, who has taken over from Jonathan Woodgate, and the former Fulham boss will be eager to pick up three points from their 2021/22 season opener.

But it won't be an easy test by any stretch of the imagination, as the Cherries prepare to take on West Brom, who were relegated from the top-flight last term.

The Baggies are under new management as well, with former Barnsley man Valerien Ismael in the dugout for West Brom heading into this year's Championship campaign.

We take a look at TWO team dilemmas that Scott Parker will be facing ahead of their clash against the Baggies on Friday evening.

Should Saydee be handed a starting spot?

Christian Saydee certainly made a positive impact for Bournemouth in their 5-0 thrashing of League One side MK Dons in the First Round of the EFL Cup.

The forward stepped off the substitutes bench in the 76th minute, and was on hand to score and assist in their win over MK Dons, and he'll be pushing for a start in their season opener against West Brom.

Dominic Solanke is the obvious choice to lead the line for the Cherries against the Baggies, but Saydee will be pushing the former Chelsea and Liverpool forward for his starting spot this Friday.

Stanislas or Anthony?

Junior Stanislas has been a key member of the AFC Bournemouth team over the years, and left a sizeable void in their team when he was out of action through injury during parts of the 2020/21 season.

The winger chipped in with () goals and () assists for the Cherries last term, although his efforts weren't quite enough to see them win promotion into the Premier League.

But Stanislas will be pushed for his starting spot in the Bournemouth team, with Jaidon Anthony starting ahead of him in their recent EFL Cup in over MK Dons.

Scott Parker has a tough decision to make on which player will start against the Baggies.
