Tony Mowbray's Blackburn side had a very decent start to the season, but just one point from their last 3 games has seen the Lancashire side slip into the bottom half of the table.

A good draw at Nottingham Forest was sandwiched by disappointing defeats at home to Luton and away at QPR, and their problems are being exacerbated by an ever-increasing injury crisis.

In contrast, Huddersfield have experienced an upturn in form in the last 3 games, with new boss Danny Cowley beginning to change the clubs fortunes around.

A battling 1-0 win at Stoke was following by a very comfortable win at Hull, and the Terriers look to be now on an upward trajectory.

With the in-form Yorkshire side heading to the depleted and out-of-form Rovers side, we look at 2 weaknesses in the Lancashire's side's likely XI that can potentially be exploited:

Inexperienced and patched up back line.

The injury list seems ever-expanding at Ewood Park, and the visit to Loftus Road before the international break didn't help matters.

Defenders Greg Cunningham and Darragh Lenihan both suffered knee ligament injuries in the defeat to the West London side, with Cunningham now out for the season and fellow Irishman Lenihan out for at least a few weeks.

Consequently, Mowbray has confirmed via the Blackburn Official Site that the inexperienced Tosin Adarabioyo - on loan from Man City - will deputise at centre back, with second choice left back Amari'i Bell likely to fill the other void left by the injured Irishmen.

The result is a very patched up back four that wont have played much together - if at all- and Danny Cowley's side can look to take advantage of any lack of cohesion that exists due to this.

Lacking a prolific goalscorer

Goals from the Rovers front-men have been few and far between this season.

With Dominic Samuel a victim of the Lancashire side's injury crisis, Sam Gallagher has led the line on his own, in front of the attacking midfield three behind him generally consisting of Stewart Downing, Bradley Dack and Adam Armstrong.

Whilst Dack and Armstrong have scored six between them, former Southampton striker Gallagher has yet to hit the back of the net in 10 appearances, and experienced back-up striker Danny Graham has scored only once.

Huddersfield will know that the pair will be very low on confidence, and that they must make it as hard as possible for the pair to break free from their rut.

Gifting an out-of-form striker a goal could open the floodgates and make it a much more difficult day for the opposing defence.
