Nottingham Forest could soon become the envy of the Championship if recent signs are anything to go by.

Of course, it seems a little odd to say that given that they're nowhere near the play-offs and perhaps, ever so slightly, still concerned with the battle below.

However, despite losses and poor showings under Aitor Karanka, there's an underlying, and growing, belief that Forest are going to be challenging next season with some displays certainly worthy of recognition.

We've seen the potential they've got under the Spaniard when it clicks and, looking at the performances of some of his signings so far - including our latest FLW Spotlight subject Joe Lolley, the Reds look in safe hands:

When Lolley signed a few may have wondered what the thinking was behind it given that he wasn't playing much for Huddersfield in the Premier League.

However, in the past he's shown he's a very astute Championship winger and that has duly proven the case so far since he signed for the club.

He's off the mark for both goals and assists and, to his credit, he looks ahead of the likes of Ben Osborn and Barrie McKay who are certainly top talents in their own right.

What Karanka likes about him most is that he's a well-rounded winger that will work back as well as contribute going forward and, next season, it'd be no surprise to see the player enjoy another promotion.
