Sheffield Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay is seeing the pressure continue to increase at Hillsborough following another dismal display yesterday.

The Owls were held by local rivals Rotherham United and it was another poor performance on the whole from Luhukay's side, who once again failed to defend well and struggled to create enough chances to see the game out or get the win.

And now, respected journalist Alan Nixon is reporting that former Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce is a target for the Owls if they do indeed to decide to replace Luhukay.

Bruce has been out of work since being relieved of his duties at Aston Villa, and the chance of another job in the Championship might well be an appealing option for the former Birmingham and Hull City man.

However, we at FLW are unsure on if Bruce is the right man for the job, and we think Wednesday could do better than to target Bruce.

With that in mind, we've looked at TWO alternatives the Owls should consider instead of Steve Bruce...

Slavisa Jokanovic

The former Fulham and Watford boss is out of work having lost his job with the Cottagers, and he is bound to be high on the agenda of plenty of onlooking clubs.

Wednesday would surely welcome Jokanovic to the club, with his attacking style and mentality likely to endear him to the Owls fans.

Jokanovic has all the credentials to succeed at Hillsborough, and would be a good upgrade on Bruce.

Mark Hughes

The recently sacked former Southampton and Stoke City manager is out of work and would be a decent appointment for the Owls.

Hughes hasn't always had the best of success in his various spells as manager with different clubs, but he could well be a success for the Sheffield club.

While not the most appealing of appointments to some, Hughes would be a solid if unspectacular ma

nagerial addition at Hillsborough.
