All three of these players have been below the high standard set by Wolves this season, so they are unlikely to be apart of Nuno Santo's plans next season.

Wolves are in the midst of a phenomenal campaign and could even match the record Championship points tally of 106 set by Reading in 2005/06 if they win all their remaining games. This is highly unlikely, but the fact that they are even close shows how impressive they have been this season under Santo.

82 points would have been enough to guarantee promotion in two of the seasons since the second division was rebranded as the Championship back in 2004.

It has been a great season for the club and the fans, but not all players can live up to the high expectations set by star players such as Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota.

Here are three players who could be sold in the summer due to being unable to keep up with their teammates.

Wolves fans... do you agree? Let us know below!

The £2.7m-rated experienced goalkeeper was supposed to act as an intimidating last line of defence, but he has looked error-prone at times. He was brought in during the summer in order to act as the main goalkeeper for the season.

Nuno Santo has kept faith by using him in every Championship game, but he doesn't have any strong alternatives to rely on. Getting promotion will bring plenty of funds, and they could easily find a much better replacement with some of that money.

Wolves' well-disciplined nature and effective use of a 3-4-3 formation allows them to control games and stifle the opposition. This has limited the ability of the opposition to seriously threaten them. However, some teams have found a way to get through their setup and Ruddy hasn't impressed when he was relied upon.

His recent performances against Norwich, Fulham and Aston Villa are testament to that, so don't be surprised if Santo elects to sell him in the summer because the Premier League won't be as forgiving with Wolves likely to be under a lot more pressure in games due to the difference in quality.

This may be quite controversial since Batth is the captain, but he doesn't start regularly and offers little on the pitch. He may be effective behind the scenes due to qualities such as leadership and mentoring which are key parts of the role of captain. However, he has to be judged on his performances which haven't been of the required standard which is why he is fourth in the pecking order of centre-backs.

Batth has been involved in 13 league games this season with his last being a poor display against Aston Villa which saw him substituted for Romain Saiss. It would be a harsh move to get rid of the captain after the club got promoted, but the players should be judged on performances regardless of the squad hierarchy.

Selling Batth would help enforce the notion that the players have to consistently keep their standards high if they want to be part of Santo's Wolves team.

Willy Boly, Conor Coady and Ryan Bennett deserve the starting places while Ruben Vinagre and Roderick Miranda are capable deputies. Vinagre and Boly are on loan so the club does need to sign them permanently, but it is clear that there isn't a place in the team for Batth.

Technically N'Diaye can't be axed because he isn't part of the club due to being on loan from Villarreal. However, he isn't good enough to be a first-team player at the Spanish side, so it's likely that he will want a permanent move to Wolves.

Therefore, the decision not to sign him would act as a denouncement of his performances this season. Ruben Neves and Romain Saiss have both been consistently better in the central midfield spots with N'Diaye acting as the rotation option for them.

Neves is a lot better at controlling games while also acting as a deep-lying playmaker than N'Diaye although he is clearly a step above the Championship. This means that Saiss acts as a better comparison because he is the player that he is realistically competing with for the second central midfield spot.

Saiss is a competent ball winner as well as being composed on the ball. N'Diaye is better with recycling possession, but lacks in the defensive side of game when comparing the two which is more important due to Neves being the key distributor in that area.

Saiss is also better in the key passes metric because he averages 0.7 while N'Diaye averages 0.4 per game, so the Moroccan is also more ambitious with his passing which is guaranteed to impact his pass success percentage numbers.
