Things need to change quickly for Leeds United in the Sky Bet Championship, with the club’s hopes of challenging for the top-six fading quickly after a run of miserable results.

Leeds went through January without recording a victory, which has left Christiansen’s side in 10th, four points adrift of the play-offs heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures.

With Cardiff visiting Elland Road this weekend, we take a look at the starting XI we believe Christiansen should select, starting with Felix Wiedwald, who will almost certainly continue in goal.

Ahead of him, Laurens De Bock, Pontus Jansson and Gaetano Berardi should all retain their place from Tuesday night’s goalless draw with Hull City, whilst Christiansen will have his fingers crossed that Matthew Pennington is fit enough to start in central defence.

Ronaldo Vieira and Adam Forshaw should continue in a defensive midfield role, whilst slightly ahead of that duo should be Pablo Hernandez in the number 10 position.

For us, Stuart Dallas needs to come into the starting XI on the wing, whilst Christiansen should keep faith with £2.7m-rated Ezgjan Alioski on the other side, despite the Macedonian’s indifferent form recently.

In attack, Pierre-Michel Lasogga should continue, with the German looking to add to his seven Championship goals.
