The Sky Bet Championship returns this weekend after the international break, and EFL teams up and down the country will be looking to secure a win to help propel them up the league.

Mark Warburton's Nottingham Forest face off against Carlos Carvalhal's Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in the late-kick off tomorrow, in what is set to be an interesting affair.

Forest have enjoyed a strong start to their 2017/18 Championship season, and after five matches, the club sit nicely in sixth position having amassed nine points.

Arguably, Boro's biggest result so far this season was beating Middlesbrough at home 2-1 - beating a promotion rival is fantastic, but Forest fans will have loved rubbing it into Britt Assombalonga, who departed the City Ground for the Riverside in the summer.

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday have endured a poor start to the season, and lay in 16th spot in the league.

Pressure will be building on manager Carlos Carvalhal, who will be looking to guide the club to the top six after two failed play-off attempts in the last two seasons.

It's fair to say there will be an expectant crowd at Hillsborough tomorrow evening.

If Forest are to compete with the Owls, they must ensure £2.25m-rated Liam Bridcutt is sitting in front of the defence.

The midfielder can be a real enforcer on his day in the Championship, and could prove to be a key man in ensuring Owls midfielder Barry Bannan does not play to his optimum capability.
