Sheffield United are still hunting a play-off place, just two points separates them and sixth placed Middlesbrough.

On the other hand, Brentford concede eight points and are two places below the Blades, whom they face tomorrow.

Dean Smith might feel his team have already had their final roll of the dice, but where there is a mathematical chance, they'll keep on fighting.

A win tomorrow might open up a small window, it would certainly put a huge hole in the Blades promotion hopes.

Whilst they tussle with each other it shouldn't be forgotten that both sides are gate crashing the top ten, with sides such as Leeds, Birmingham and Sunderland below them, they're punching above their means.

Sheffield United might argue the opposite, they're amongst the top five supported teams in the Championship and might feel they deserve a place in the top six.

For either side to be at the stage of the season where they are is a great  achievement and it points to two talented squad laden with skill and hard work.

Here, FLW attempts to put together a side from the two. Do you agree with our picks? Let us know in the comments.

Bentley gets the nod over on-loan Blades keeper Blackman.

The 24-year old has a growing reputation after coming through the ranks at Southend.

We're going to go for a three man defence too, to start with really like former France U20 defender Barbet.

He's a big lad, dominant in the air but also quick to read the game.

As we've had two Brentford players, it's time for a Blade. 23-year old O'Connell has played for both sides, but he's really settled nicely at Bramall Lane

He's played U19 and U20 for England and could have a big future in the game.

Brentford captain Egan makes up the back three. He's been capped for Eire and will be a controversial choice ahead of players such as Richard Stearman.

That's the beauty of opinion though, right?

On to the five man midfield, packed with tenacity and guile.

Former Coventry man Fleck has both in abundance.

Back to back Blades, that'll please the Sheffield lot reading this!

The 32-year old is a seasoned campaigner and whilst he won't stick around if they're promoted, he brings enough to justify inclusion now.

Watkins was a capture from Exeter and is a much-sought after young man.

He oozes class and could probably stake a claim in a top two side given the chance. Remember the name.

Jozefzoon will play on the opposite flank to our next choice, and he's guaranteed to get fans on their feet.

He came through the Ajax youth ranks and played for PSV too. He's a quick, exciting player.

Wing back/winger /defender.... what is the difference these days? We like Stevens for his versatility as well as his ability.

In a 3-5-2 young can be a bit of both and that describes Stevens to a tee.

Blades captain, Sheffield legend, who couldn't include Billy Sharp in a combined XI?

He's a great character and one they'll talk about at Bramall Lane for years after he's left. He's got a goal or two in him too.

£2.25m-rated Maupay hasn't been a first team regular long, only since January 2018, but he's certainly catching the eye with some robust displays.

We think he'd be a perfect partner for Billy Sharp.
