It’s straight back to it after the international break this weekend as Aston Villa host Birmingham City in the Second City derby this Sunday lunchtime.
Villa will be hoping they can kick on from the 3-0 win against Derby County prior to the break, whilst Birmingham will be looking to get back to winning ways following a 3-3 draw with Hull City last time out.
So Villa versus Birmingham, what’s the score?
I think Birmingham will put up a very good fight but it is hard to see past a Villa win here.
It is certainly the most intriguing second-city derby for a very long time.
The Second City derby will be a tight, pulsating encounter with both teams being backed to the hilt by strong, passionate support.
Derby matches are never great spectacles as despite both teams wanting to win, neither want to lose.
That invariably sees the match end in a draw and I think it will end up being either 1-1 or 2-2 at Villa Park on Sunday.
I can see it being a tough, scrappy draw.
Both sides won’t want to lose due to the importance of the game at the right end of the table, and these games are never really high scoring games.
Perhaps a 1-1 or 0-0.
