Derby County's recent mini revival under Phillip Cocu continued on Saturday as the Rams secured a hard fought draw against Huddersfield Town at Pride Park, with Tom Lawrence's strike just past the hour mark ultimately being cancelled out by Harry Toffolo's equaliser.

The weekend clash also saw the return of Dutch goalkeeper Kelle Roos to the starting line up for the Rams after the 27-year-old was given the nod over his young teammate Henrich Ravas between the sticks.

A former AFC Wimbledon loanee, Roos has largely found himself out of favour in recent weeks due to the presence of Ben Hamer, with the towering keeper having only been afforded one start over the past few months.

The Dutchman had previously established himself as the club's number one goalkeeper under the club's former manager Frank Lampard, playing a crucial role for the Rams as they just missed out on promotion to the Premier League last term.

Here, we break down the numbers and assess the goalkeeper's weekend performance against Huddersfield in our latest FLW Spotlight article as we seek to establish if Roos done his chances of ousting Hamer any good....

The experienced keeper made a total of two saves throughout the 90 minutes, with the Rams having largely nullified the attacking threat posed by Huddersfield's forwards.

In terms of ball distribution, Roos excelled to some extent in this area as he made a total of five throughout the 90 minutes, showing a keenness to get his side on the counter attack as soon as the opportunity arose.

Throughout the game the Dutchman faced a total of three shots in what was a relatively quiet afternoon for Roos as Huddersfield struggled to gain a foothold in the game.

The 27-year-old showed that he is adept at playing the ball out from the back on occasion, completing 19 short passes, whilst his distribution over longer distances may need some work as his two attempted long passes failed to find a teammate.

All in all it was a relatively straight forward game for the keeper whose only disappointment will have been conceding Toffolo's late strike which put paid to Roos keeping a clean sheet.

In short, only time will tell if he can regain the number one shirt from Hamer as the battle for the goalkeeping spot heats up at Pride Park.
