It has been a difficult start to life at Valley Parade for Simon Grayson, who has failed to keep Bradford City in play-off contention in Sky Bet League One.

Grayson will be looking forward to getting his teeth into the summer, with the Bradford manager looking keen to build a squad capable of pushing for another promotion back to the Championship.

The style Grayson has adopted at his previous clubs has been an attacking one, with there every chance that he will look to do the same at Bradford.

Targeting another striker is likely to be high on Grayson’s agenda this summer, and one player he could cast an eye over is Exeter City’s Jayden Stockley, who is the latest feature of our FLW Spotlight:

Stockley has been instrumental at St James’ Park this season, helping Paul Tisdale’s Exeter into promotion contention once again.

The striker has made 41 appearances, scoring 19 goals and delivering a further seven assists this season.

The 24-year-old’s goals have come every 168.5 minutes.

Stockley has been a real nuisance at the top of the pitch, winning 45 free-kicks for his side, whilst also receiving four yellow cards.

The Verdict

What Stockley has done this season has to be applauded, with the 24-year-old turning into a really impressive striker.

He might not be as prolific as Billy Kee or Danny Hylton, but Stockley could be a really useful asset to Bradford.

Stockley has an excellent touch, with his stats showing that he knows where the back of the net is.

Grayson will be keen to add players who are prepared for a promotion push, with Stockley showing this season, albeit at a lower level, he has what it takes to spearhead a challenge.
