Leeds United fell to a shock, 2-1 defeat to relegation-threatened, Wigan Athletic at Elland Road on Good Friday which saw them drop points at a pivotal stage of the season.

Marcelo Bielsa's side had the chance to take the lead early on, with Cedric Kipre being dismissed, but Pablo Hernandez saw his spot-kick strike the woodwork.

But the Whites took the lead soon after, with Patrick Bamford firing home clinically, but they were pegged back before the half-time whistle.

Gavin Massey's pace caused Leeds problems all afternoon and he fired home an equaliser in the 44th minute.

Many would have thought that Leeds would make their man advantage count from then on, but Massey struck again to give the visitors a shock lead.

The Latics held on as well, as they came away from Elland Road with a three points that seemed almost impossible heading into the game.

There were a number of players that struggled to make a notable impact in the defeat for Leeds, but one man received more than others.

That man is Jack Harrison, who continues to struggle for consistency in the Leeds team, which will be a concern for supporters heading into a crucial stage of this year's league campaign.

But there is another player that will fancy his chances of being recalled to Marcelo Bielsa's starting XI in the near future ahead of the Manchester City loanee.

Jack Clarke is a player that has changed the course of a game on his own at times, and he certainly has managed to get the Elland Road faithful on their feet with his direct style of play.

The youngster has struggled for a consistent run in the Leeds team since he returned to the first-team picture after being ruled out through illness earlier this year.

But Clarke is surely going to be itching to prove himself to Marcelo Bielsa, and supporters will surely be calling for the young winger to be given a chance ahead of Harrison, who isn't likely to be at the club next season.

Bielsa will surely be tempted to make changes for their game against Brentford after such a disappointing display on Friday and Harrison could well be one that is taken out of the firing line.
