Millwall have reportedly agreed a fee in the region of £750,000 for Reading forward Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, according to The Sun.

The 27-year-old made 20 league appearances for the Royals last season, but struggled with injury problems in the second-half of their league campaign.

In our latest FLW Spotlight, we look into the Icelander's statistics since he moved to the Championship.

Bodvarsson has spent three years in the Championship, having previously played for Wolves before making the move to Berkshire back in 2017.

He's not got the most prolific of records in front of goal in English football, as he's scored three goals for Wolves in a full season, and netted 14 goals for Reading in his two years with the Berkshire-based side.

As a striker, you would have expected Bodvarsson to have attempted more shots per game, but he only makes an average of just over one shot a game, which will make concerning reading for Millwall supporters, who will be keen to see a striker with a proven record in the Championship.

The Icelandic international isn't known for his aerial ability, despite being a relatively tall player, but he does win an average of 3.2 battles in the air per game since arriving in England.

His pass success rate doesn't make the best of reading either though, as Bodvarsson's success rate is just 57%, which is something that will need to be improved at the earliest of opportunities.

Bodvarsson's work ethic is one of his main strengths, and even though his statistics aren't the best, it's not a true reflection on what he can bring to a team.

If he can hit the ground running at Millwall, then you have to feel as though he's the type of player that the supporters could warm to, even though he might not prove to be an immediate success at The Den.

At a relatively cheap fee in today's market though, he'll be hoping to recapture his best form for Neil Harris' side as they look to improve from last year's 21st place finish.
