Nuno Santo will be aiming to make a few changes in order to improve on his strong set-up at Wolves.

Wolves were confirmed as Championship winners after their 4-0 victory over Bolton with a staggering 98 points from 44 games.

They have dominated the league since Nuno Santo came in and decided to utilise a 3-4-3 formation which focused on controlling the midfield with Ruben Neves being the chief orchestrator.

The Premier League will be much harder, but they have the necessary tools to succeed. They just need a few more players if they want to be ambitious and push up the table. Although in the set-up hypothesised for this article, Wolves will use a 3-4-1-2 formation which means at least one of the wingers will have to drop out.

Here's the midfield that can dominate...

Neves is pivotal to Wolves' success so he needs to be at the heart of their play in whatever set-up they have. Switching from a 3-4-3 to a 3-4-1-2 makes little change for him because he would still be in a two-man midfield which means he would be important in blocking passing lanes and compacting space when the opposition has possession.

The Portuguese midfielder acts as the deep-lying playmaker in the team, so he controls the tempo of games and is important in creating chances through openings in the opposition shape. Although in this formation that role is shared with the attacking playmaker, whereas, in a 3-4-3 he linked up well with the wingers especially in transition.

Saiss is the more defensive-minded out of him and Neves. He still contributes offensively such as recycling possession, but he is more important in breaking up opposition attacks.

This role will increase in importance in the Premier League because Wolves are likely to have less possession and will have to deal with more periods of sustained pressure. Saiss offers balance to that area which works perfectly with Neves and they now have a strong understanding due to this season.

Talisca has been linked with the West Midlands side for a while, so it would make sense for him to move in the summer now they are in the Premier League. He is currently on loan at Besiktas where he has impressed with 13 goals in the league as well as four assists. In eight Champions League games, he managed four goals as well.

Therefore, he is clearly talented, and is only 24-years-old. He would be ideal at linking up the midfield and the two forwards in the attacking midfield role while also providing a significant threat of his own. Benfica are likely to ask for a substantial fee because he is valued at £17.10m on TransferMarkt, but he would be a smart acquisition.
