Bradley Dack has played a pivotal role in Blackburn's push to return straight back to the Championship.

Blackburn are currently in second place with the same amount of points as Wigan, but a worse goal difference. The Latics also have a game in hand on Blackburn. Shrewsbury are currently five points behind with a game in hand, so Rovers are in a good place.

The last game against Bristol Rovers was a disappointment, though, because they conceded a last-minute equaliser. However, neither Wigan or Shrewsbury were able to take advantage.

Dack is averaging a goal every 186.3 minutes in the league which is remarkable considering he isn't a striker and has made 40 appearances this season. His shot conversion percentage of 25 is impressive as well because it shows how efficient he is with chances that come his way.

This isn't accounting for his eight assists as well which shows how much of an impact he has in the final third for Blackburn. His role as the playmaker in the team gives him a lot of freedom which he thrives in, but the narrow shape that Tony Mowbray likes to use leaves a lot of the onus on him to create openings because of the lack of width.

The 44 fouls won also shows his importance as an outlet when Blackburn need to get out of their own half as well as how hard it is to take the ball off him successfully. He clearly plays a key role in the team and he will be important in the remaining games if they want to maintain their push for the automatic promotion spots. His award is well-deserved because Blackburn would be struggling without his creative output due to how much he allows the strikers to thrive.
